Overview:
AVD is the virtual machine used to host Contractor desktop environments. This can be accessed through web browser or can be downloaded as shortcut onto your personal desktop. Using secure credentials, connecting to this virtual desktop makes work easier, as it is secure and easy to connect to.

Installing the client:
If you have a Windows machine, please use the following link to download the RemoteDesktop client: Get started with the Windows Desktop client | Microsoft Learn

Once downloaded please find the client and run the installer. The executable should be called the following:
Opening the Remote Desktop app
- Start at your home screen and look for "Remote Desktop" on your windows search bar.
- Once opened you will be prompted with the "Let's get started" start screen. You will select "Subscribe" to begin accessing your assigned Remote Desktops.
- Upon subscribing, you will be prompted to Sign-in to your Smith + Howard account. Please sign-in using your Smith + Howard email.
- Once successfully signed in you will see the list of available Remote Desktops. Select the computer assigned to you and you are ready to begin using the remote desktop.
