Overview:


This article will go over how members can check if they are connected to the FortiClient VPN and how to connect if not connected at startup.


Checking connection to the FortiClient VPN:

  1. We will begin by navigating to the bottom right corner of your main display to open the app tray. Open the tray and look for the Blue shield icon. 
  2. If the Blue Shield icon shows an orange lock then the FortiClient VPN is connected successfully.
  3.  If the Blue Shield icon does not show an orange lock then the FortiClient VPN is not connected.


How to connect to FortiClient VPN if not connected on Startup:

  1. We will begin by navigating to the bottom right corner of your main display to open the app tray. Open the tray and look for the Blue shield icon.
  2. Right-click the Blue Shield icon and select Connect to "Secure Internet Access".
  3. An Edge browser will launch with a prompt "VPN Connecting", this page can be closed.
  4. Open the app tray to verify that there is an orange lock on the FortiClient VPN icon. 
  5. You are now successfully connected to the VPN!
