CaseWare Cloud: Start Guide

Requirements:

  • CaseWare Cloud Account
  • Working Papers installed
  • Internet and VPN connection

Overview:


This is a start guide for the S+H member to get signed into our CW Cloud account. Smith + Howard is now integrating CW Cloud and will be centering all clients and entities into this main site. https://us.casewarecloud.com/smithhoward

We have multiple CW Cloud sites across Smith + Howard's family of companies, so it is important that we use the referenced site when logging in. 


  • Signing in using SSO (Website)
  • Connecting CW Cloud Server to Working Papers

    Note: You can only be connected to one CW Cloud server at a time


Signing in using SSO (Website):


  1.  Open Edge and navigate to this website: https://us.casewarecloud.com/smithhoward
  2.  You will be met with the Sign-In screen.  Click on Go to Single Sign-On (no password needed) 
    • If your account has not been created correctly this will not work 

  3. You will be sent to the homepage where you will see your first Welcome page. This page has different utilities on getting started such as Creating Engagements, Tips and other FAQs.




Connecting CW Cloud Server to Working Papers:

 

This portion will allow S+H members to access the CW Cloud files from working papers. This setup will be similar to that of connecting to the CW Cloud hosted by Chattanooga


  1. Begin by opening CaseWare WorkingPapers and Select the Options button on the left-hand menu.



2. A new window will appear. Select the CaseWare Cloud menu item and select the Checkbox labeled Integrate with CaseWare Cloud



3. Once you have selected the checkmark you will be able to add the server address.



  • Then select the checkbox like in screenshot below




4. Select OK at the bottom and a new window will appear where you will need to sign-in using Single Sign-On.




5. You will need to enter your S+H Email and Network password for your first time. 



6. Navigate to the SmartSync server and search for a file that you know is on the CaseWare Cloud.


Type "SHA - AA" in Entity Search bar first.
