Overview:


This is a short article that guides users on how to conduct a speed test in case remote or office connections are not performing properly. These tests will be done with the Global Protect VPN enabled and disabled to compare connections. The test help to collect information so the Tech team can find solutions for users who are running into connectivity issues.


Testing Connection with & without VPN:


  1. WITH VPN: Connect to Global Protect
  2. Go to Internet Test - Measure Network Performance | Cloudflare to initiate connection test.
  3. Allow the speed test to go through the whole process. On Cloudflare it may look like it has finished but do not save a document of the speed test until there is a returned Network Quality Score.
  4. To Save as an Adobe PDF:  Print (Ctrl + P) and select Adobe PDF > Select a file location and save
  5. Send Adobe PDF of the speed test to the open ticket
  6. Without VPN: Disconnect from Global Protect
  7. Click hidden icons in the taskbar > Select Global Protect > Click the triple bar symbol > Click Disconnect
  8. Follow steps 2-5 to collect speed test information without VPN connected
