This article is to find solutions to Z: Drive not appearing in File Explorer under This PC. Additionally, there will be some information on finding the pathways for other Drives if they are not showing up.


For other Drivers under This PC:

  1. Select the drive (for example: H(HPII), I(IDEA), J(App Data), K(Clients), L(Firm Data), Q(Quickbooks Data), R(EBP))
  2. Right click on the drive and select properties
  3. In Properties select DFS 
  4. Adjust the view under Referral list so you can see the whole Path, this can be done by dragging the Active divider to the side in order to see the full file path.
  5. IGNORE SHFS3 that is in the Path 
  6. When mapping a network drive for example K: Drive, it will be \\smith-howard.com\K-Clients
  7. Follow steps below to Map select Network Drive

 


For Z: Drive Navigate to File Explorer:

  1. Click on This PC
  2. Under Network Locations is where the drives will be (notice that the Z: drive for the user is missing)
  3. Click Map network drive in top left corner (notice that it can also be click as a drop down to either map or disconnect)
  4. A new window will pop up for Map Network Drive where a drop down for Drive: can be selected, this will be where you select Zin this drop down.
  5. For Folder: this is where the file path will be typed in. Type in: \\smith-howard.com\userscans\username 
  6. Click Finish and you'll be pulled into your Z: Drive folder which will be located with the other Drives.
