Using login with SSO FAQs:
Q: Why does login with SSO require my master password?
A: Login with SSO allows your employees to use your existing identity provider (IdP) to authenticate their identities. What makes login with SSO unique compared to other tools is that it retains our end-to-end zero knowledge encryption model. Nobody at Bitwarden should have access to your vault data
Alternate Solution: We give the ability for users to use a pin to unlock their Bitwarden vault or extension after the first initial login with their master password. You will still need to know your master password:

Q: Will changing my SSO password affect my Bitwarden master password?
A: No, your master password will remain the same.
Password Manager FAQs:
Q: What do I do if I forgot my master password?
A: The S+H Technology team has the ability to perform account recovery for Bitwarden accounts. This is a part of our policies that every user is auto enrolled since the sites saved in this accounts are Company Managed/Related. If this ever occurs, please reach out to the S+H Helpdesk: [email protected]
Q: I need an old password! Can I view the history of a password that I changed in Bitwarden?
A: Yes! You can view the last five passwords for any login Item. Open the item in question from the Extension or Vault and select the number next to Password history near the bottom of the window:
Import and Export FAQs:
Q: Why did importing create duplicate vault items?
A: Every import operation creates every new record as an item in your vault, regardless of whether matching vault items already exist in your vault. Prior to import, we recommend either:
Editing your import file to only include net-new vault Items.
Purging your vault before an import operation.

Q: How do I import file attachments to Bitwarden?
A: File attachments must be manually migrated to your Bitwarden vault, as they are currently not included in bulk import operations.
Security FAQs:
Q: What happens if Bitwarden gets hacked?
A: Bitwarden takes extreme measures to ensure that its websites, applications, and cloud servers are secure. Bitwarden uses Microsoft Azure managed services to manage server infrastructure and security, rather than doing so directly.
If for some reason Bitwarden were to get hacked and your data was exposed, your information is still protected due to strong encryption and one-way salted hashing measures taken on your vault data and master password.
Q: What is Bitwarden compliant with? What certifications do you have?
A: Bitwarden is compliant with the following policies:
