Overview:

This article will go over what you should expect during the upgrade to Windows 22H2.

Installation:

We are presently rolling out a new “Feature Update” for Windows to the firm. This Feature Update is larger than the standard Windows updates and delivers a set of improvements for Windows. Following Microsoft’s guidelines, we are releasing this Feature Update in phases to the firm

As the Feature Update is larger than the standard updates, it may take longer to download and apply to your computer. When it is ready to install, you will see a notification like this appear on your screen.

1. Select "Restart now" if you're ready at that moment to begin the finalization install, if not you can snooze it and when you shut down at the end of the day, the final install of the update will begin.
2. You can expect the update to take 25-60 minutes to complete.

Post-Installation:

• Caseware- You will need to run Caseware as administrator when you open it for the first time after the 22H2 Feature Update is complete.
  • CaseWare: Registry Repair - https://helpdesk.smith-howard.com/support/solutions/articles/5000066361 

• Windows Updates- Once updated to 22H2, you will receive system updates for 22H2, which will take up to 10 minutes per update and require multiple restarts.
  • Please leave your computer powered on, logged in, and connected to power and the internet during the maintenance time to download all updates. Restart your computer when instructed/ notified by your computer to do so to apply updates.

          1. Right-click on the Start Menu

          3. Scroll down to Windows specifications to see what version your Windows 10 is on
