Requirements:

  • Computer
  • Travel Dock
  • Ethernet Cable
  • Ethernet Connection

Overview:

This article will guide users on how to connect an Ethernet connection directly to their workstations.  This is helpful when there are issues with Wifi.

Connecting using Ethernet:

  1.   First thing you will need is a travel dock to be able to connect the Ethernet cable to your computer. Our laptops do not have an ethernet port, so the travel dock will be needed:

  2. Once you have your travel dock, connect one end of the ethernet cable to your travel dock, and the other end to an ethernet port. (In the training room, there are ports found along the floor within the storage flaps)

  3. Once those are connected connect your travel dock to an available USB-C port on your computer. You will know you are connected via ethernet when you can see this icon near your app tray on your main screen.
