Overview:


Alta Open is an access control system that lets our users autonomously unlock doors and access different areas of the office using their mobie devices as access cards. Their access is based on their permissions and department.

Downloading Alta Open: 


Alta Open can be downloaded 2 ways depending on your Mobile Device:



Note: Once downloaded continue to the next section.


Signing In:

 

  1. Wait to receive your activation email from [email protected]

  2. Open the email within Outlook on your mobile device. Navigate to step 2 in the email and select "SET UP ON PHONE" 

  3. Once selected this will prompt you back into the Alta Open app and you will be able to see your Alta Open virtual badge

  4. You have successfully set up Alta Open on your phone!


Using Alta Open:

 

  1. Start off on Alta Open's HomeScreen when first opening and select the "View All" prompt towards the bottom of the screen.  

  2. You will be able to see all the available Access points that you can unlock. You can manually unlock them with the app by selecting the Lock Icon next to the access point's name

  3. The Alta Open app also uses bluetooth to be able to detect any nearby access points so that you can Wave to unlock without opening the app. You will need to ensure the proper app permissions are enabled. Start by selecting the Icon towards the top left corner

  4. This will give you access to the following: Activity Log, Feedback, App Permissions, and Settings. Select App Permissions 

  5. Ensure that your permissions match the permissions below for to ensure accuracy and accessibility of this app.

  6. Once that has been confirmed you are ready to use the Alta Open App!
