This guide is an overview of using and enrolling in Windows Hello.
Smith + Howard utilizes Microsoft's Windows Hello system on workstations. This system, in conjunction with the firm's Multi-Factor Authentication (MFA) enrollment, increases the security for both the workstation and all of the firm's online accounts that may be used on that workstation.
Windows Hello has two key benefits:
- Easier Sign In: With Windows Hello, you may be able to use a PIN, your fingerprint, or facial recognition to log in to your firm workstation. Entering the full firm password will no longer be required once you've enrolled your workstation with Windows Hello
- Pre-authorization: With the firm's MFA requirements, each time you log into a website may require an MFA response to verify your identity. When you access these services via your workstation with Windows Hello, you will be pre-authorized and will see fewer MFA prompts
