Overview:
Welcome to the Zoom Phone start guide!
In this article we will be going over all the essential functions of the Zoom Phone app that is needed to be able to use for the firm.
Those functions include:
- Starting Zoom
- Making a Call
- Changing Caller ID
- Importing Contacts
- Opening Voicemail
- Selecting Audio Devices
Start Guide on Zoom Phone
Starting Zoom:
- First you will open Zoom on your desktop

Once the Zoom app loads up you will select the Phone tab on the top of the Zoom Menu

- Here you will be able to see your Zoom Call History, Voicemail, and your call Line; they are highlighted in red in the screenshot above.
Making a call:
- To make a call you can start in the Phone tab; here you will see the dials where you will be able to manually enter the number or name of your contact/client
- NOTE: Using a name will only work if they are already a part of your contacts. S+H employees will automatically be in contact

Once you are in a call you have a wide range of options in the call menu. They range from, Adding a Call, Transferring the call, Recording, putting the contact on Hold, changing to a Zoom Call, and other features
- NOTE: The "Meet" options only works if the contact is calling from their Computer and they have Zoom Installed.

Changing Caller ID:
- When making a call you also have the option of changing your caller ID. Select your caller ID under the phone dials and you will be able to change your Caller ID from being your Direct Number, Company Number, or a Hidden Caller ID.
Importing Contacts:

In order to access your contacts, you will need to click on the "Contacts" tab in the top menu of Zoom
- There you will see your Company Contacts in which you can organize by adding them to Starred, External, and Cloud.
- You can add Cloud contacts by selecting "Cloud Contacts" and clicking on "Connect a Contact Book"

After that you will sign into Zoom online and select your provider that you would like to pull the contacts from. You will need to sign in after choosing.

Opening Voicemail:
- To get to your Voicemail you will begin on the Phone tab and select the "Voicemail" tab that is located on the left section of the Zoom Window.
- You will be able to see the history of ALL voicemail. The voicemail with a blue bubble indicate that they have been unread.
- Once a voicemail has been selected you have the option of Calling the Number, Playing Back the Voicemail, as well as other options

Selecting Audio Devices:
- When in your Zoom app, you will navigate to your Account Icon, and a side menu will appear. From there you will select the "Settings" tab
- The Settings pop-up will appear and you will select the "Audio" tab on the left hand side.

You will be able to see your Speaker and Microphone output and inputs. You will use the dropdown menus located at the end of each selection to choose the device name that you own.
