Overview:


This article will describe how to apply an update for Practice CS. Following the maintenance for Practice CS on Monday, December 2nd, 2019, each computer will need perform this update in order to continue using Practice CS. If this update is not performed, Practice CS will give an error message when you attempt to open it.



Section 1: Installing workstation update


  1. Open Windows Explorer by clicking on the Folder icon on the Windows Task Bar

  2. In the address bar, type L:\IT_Helpdesk\Installs-Updates\PracticeCS and press Enter




  3. Double click on the PracticeCS-Update icon to apply the update






  4. You may see a screen flash for a moment, this normal. The update should apply within a few seconds.


  5. Once the update is complete, open Practice CS and click the "Open Firm" drop-down menu. From there, choose the firm "SmithandHoward"



  7. Enter the credentials that you use for Practice CS and click "OK"
