This article includes an overview of Cisco Jabber's interface. This application is included with all firm-issued workstations and can be used, among other things, to collaborate with corporate and personal contacts.

Overview
Jabber three main ways to interact with it, the Dock, the Hub window, and the System Tray icon.This guide will give an overview of the interface in each of these modes. For more

Dock
Jabber's dock is a utility bar that appears at the top border of your monitor when Jabber is running. It is intended as a quick-access location for some of Jabber's features.
When you are not interacting with it, it will look like this:
But as you move your mouse cursor over it, it will expand to this:
- The dock can be moved around your monitor by clicking-and-dragging on the bottom part of the dock
- The search field allows you to search for contacts to communicate with
- The Three buttons will open the Hub window to Recent Calls, Voice Mail, or your Contacts. See below for more on the Hub window
Hub Window
The Hub Window can be opened from the Jabber Dock by clicking on the "Hub" button, or by clicking on Jabber's system tray icon. Here is an overview of the Hub Window:
- Status - Set your status for others to see
- Search - Used for searching for colleagues or dialing new numbers
- Contacts - Displays contacts that you have saved to Jabber
- Recents - Displays recent call information
- Voice Messages - Displays your voicemail box. You can listen to and manage your voicemail
- Meetings - Displays meetings from your Outlook calendar
- Call Handling - Changes how Jabber handles phone calls
- Settings - Change settings for Jabber
- Begin Call - Starts dialing a number that you enter in the search bar

Contacts - Displays contacts that you have saved to Jabber
System Tray Icon
Windows 10's System Tray displays programs running in the background. If Jabber is running, it will have an icon here. Also, if Jabber is already running, you cannot use the desktop icon to open Jabber's Hub window. The only way to reach the Hub window is either through the dock, or by click on the system tray icon. The system tray can be found by clicking the Arrow to the left of the clock. There, one of the icons will be for Jabber.
