Overview:

 

This article will describe how to install a workstation client update for GoFileRoom. GoFileRoom releases a workstation client that places plugins in Acrobat, Outlook, Word, Excel, and Windows itself. GoFileRoom periodically release updates for their client that must be installed to continue using their product. This article will describe how to install these updates to your Smith & Howard workstation.

Section 1: Installing the workstation client update

 

 


  1. Close any open instances of Internet Explorer, Practice, Adobe Acrobat, or Office products
  2. Open Windows Explorer by clicking on the Folder icon on the Windows Task Bar


  1. In the address bar, type L:\IT_Helpdesk\Updates\GoFileRoom and press Enter


  1. Double click on the “GoFileRoom Update” icon to begin the installation.


 

  1. The installation will proceed without requiring any interaction. You may see windows with progress bars briefly on your screen.

 

  1. The installation will be complete once all of the windows have closed automatically.
