Requirements:
- Firm Issued email account
- Account hosted in Microsoft Office 365 or "Cloud Email"
- An Android or iOS/Apple based device (other device types are not supported)
Overview:
This article will walk you through setting up your Smith & Howard email on your mobile device.
Firm Account Information:
Username: this is your email address (NOTE: [email protected], for Wealth Managment staff please use [email protected] as your username. Your emails will still come from @smithhowardwelath.com)
Password: your Windows/ network logon password
Server: Outlook.Office365.com
NOTE: It may be necessary to remove your existing email setup before adding the new/ correct one. For instructions on how to do this, as provided by an outside group, please see these instructions: Removing Email Accounts
Setting up mobile email on an Android device:
If you have been asked to re-setup your email you will need to first remove the existing account, for instructions on doing this we suggest these: Removing Email Accounts
There are two options, you can use the built in email application or you can use Outlook for Android. Please use the Firm Account Information above for Server, Username, and Password
- To setup using the built in Android email application please use these instructions: Office 365 for Android email
- To install and setup using the Outlook for Android application please use these instructions: Office 365 for Outlook for Android
- If you have any issues setting up your email please log in using this link first to verify your account is working: https://outlook.office365.com/owa
- Once your account is setup please allow 15 - 30 minutes for all email, calendar, contacts, and tasks to synchronize with your device. You may have to close and reopen the email, calendar, task applications to see updates.
- If the problem persists or you continue to not receive emails please contact the Help Desk.
