- Firm issued laptop with GoSystem Tax RS installed
- Valid and current login information for GoSystem Tax RS
Overview:
This article will walk you through how to check the version on a locator within GoSystem Tax RS. Locators are updated by GoSystem and cannot be updated by S&H Tech Systems. Locator versions should match the system major version and the installed client version before doing any work or you may experience issues and errors. Section 1: Checking Locator Version
- Log into GoSystem Tax RS with your login name, password, and Firm information: http://gosystemrs.fasttax.com (requries Internet Explorer)
- Search for the Locator file that you want to check and open that file
- In the return window click on HELP on the task bar (see the box in BLUE in the image below)
- From the HELP menu choose "About <returntype> tax"
- The pane on the lower right side should update to show the screen shown below (form type, product year, and version number may be different)
- The version for the locator is shown to the right of the "Version" field highlighted in the RED box
- To see the current version that the locator should be on please check the release schedule or ask the GoSystem Tax RS champion.
