This article covers how to properly attach and manage documents from OneDrive to send to external users (outside of Smith-Howard.com) and internal users.

Sending Documents from OneDrive to users outside of Smith-Howard.com:
- The best way to do this is to browse for the document and attach it in Outlook to your email, without using the Recent Document list provided in Attach File drop down list.
- If you choose the file from the recent list it may be attached as a link (You may also get a popup that offers you to choose to attach the file or share a link)
- If the document is shared instead of attached click on the drop down menu to the right of the attachment and choose "Attach as copy"
- The file should now no longer have the cloud icon and will display a file size.

Setting permissions on files shared with users inside of Smith-Howard.com:
- Attach the file from your Recent List using the icon with the cloud displayed
- Once shared out click on the drop down to the right of the attached file
- Choose "Change Permissions" and then select the permission that you prefer.
