Requirements:

  • Firm issued laptop with Jabber installed
  • Windows password and email address

Overview:

The purpose of this article is to walk you through setting up Jabber for the first time.


Logging into Jabber

  1. Jabber, the firms presence, instant messenger, phone control, and voicemail access system should open for you on first login
  2. If it does not then you will need to open it by clicking on Jabber from your START menu
  3. In the Jabber window, put in your email address and windows password, ensure that "Sign me in when Cisco Jabber starts" has a check mark


  4. Click on Sign In
  5. If you get a warning message back that your user name is not correct and the @smith-howard.com disappear that is fine, if you get warnings about certificates and trust please contact the HelpDesk
  6. Try your password and login again
  7. You should now be signed into Jabber
