Requirements:
- Firm issued laptop with Jabber installed
- Windows password and email address
Overview:
The purpose of this article is to walk you through setting up Jabber for the first time.
Logging into Jabber
- Jabber, the firms presence, instant messenger, phone control, and voicemail access system should open for you on first login
- If it does not then you will need to open it by clicking on Jabber from your START menu
- In the Jabber window, put in your email address and windows password, ensure that "Sign me in when Cisco Jabber starts" has a check mark
- Click on Sign In
- If you get a warning message back that your user name is not correct and the @smith-howard.com disappear that is fine, if you get warnings about certificates and trust please contact the HelpDesk
- Try your password and login again
- You should now be signed into Jabber
