How-To correct the “Unable to Access Registry” error when viewing documents in GFR

- Access to L: drive on Smith & Howard network through being at the office or connected via VPN.

Note: This is a known issue by Thompson Reuters/ GoFileRoom and may return. Please use this to correct the issue should it happen again in the future.
Description of problem:
When opening a PDF document in GoFileRoom (or any PDF document opened through Internet Explorer), the following errors may occur:
Resolution:
- Navigate to L:\IT Helpdesk.
- Once in the folder, double-click on the file “GFR_fix.bat”
- This will bring up a command prompt that looks like the following:
- Follow the instructions in the command prompt window by pressing any key. The script will run and you will see the following:
- Please return to GFR and open an Adobe to verify the script has worked.
