Requirements:

  • Smith & Howard network account
  • Either in office or connected to VPN
  • Stable internet access

Overview:

Changing the PPC SMART Practice Aids DB

NOTE: If you are outside of the office, connect to the VPN. Instructions can be found HERE.

  1. Open PPC'S SMART Practice Aids.

Prompt (Error Message):

  1. There may be a prompt about not being able to connect to its database. Click Search For Database.

  2. Continue to the Adding the DB section.

No Prompt (No Error/Switching the DB manually):

  1. If there is not a prompt, go to Tools > Options > Point To Different Database...



  2. Continue to the Adding the DB section.


Adding the DB:

  1. Select the database location by entering PPCSMARTDB into the address bar.


  2. Click Add. The database will be added to the list.





  3. Click Select to connect to the DB.

See what DB you're connected to

  1. PPC SMART Practice Aids will open to the main screen. To see what DB you are connected to, it is in gray on the top right of the screen. It will say PPCSMARTDB.
