When you delete a voicemail message, the Cisco system will place it in the deleted items folder and after 14 days, it will  permanently purge the message. It’s similar to Outlook's Deleted Items; when you delete a message, the system still gives you time to recover the message before it permanently purges the message. There are a two ways to recover deleted voicemails before they are purged from the system:

Through Jabber:

1. In Jabber, click the Voice Messages button to view your current voicemails.

2. Change the Type (upper right of Jabber voice messages window) to Deleted to see only messages you have deleted.

3. Right click on the message and choose Restore.

Through the phone:

1. Dial into voicemail system.

2. Press 3 to review old messages.

2. Press 2 to access deleted messages.

3. Press 1 to review deleted messages.

4. Press 2 to restore the deleted message to the saved messages folder.
